Class A Motor Homes
Class A Motorhomes and Diesel Pushers are usually the most luxurious, fully self contained RV available. Most have the appearance of a bus, with a blunt front and a large windshield. Most have a private bedroom, full bathroom including shower, kitchen, dining table, living room with sofa beds and washer and dryer. The Motorhomes drivers area is part of the living area, making everything accessible while traveling.
Class A motor homes are available with gasoline engines and diesel (diesel pushers) and are build on specially designed truck or bus chassis. RV slide outs are available to greatly increase the living space when setup and camping. The entire under carriage is designed for storage, much like the baggage area of a bus. The class A motor home has grown in popularity to be the most popular motorized RV on the road today.
Class C Motor Homes
Class C Motor home is built on a front engine truck chassis, with the front cab and doors of a van or pickup. Sometimes referred to as “mini motor homes” even though some up to 40 feet, most are between 21 and 32 feet in length. Most of these RV’s include large slide outs to increase living space while camping. With gas engines being the most common, a variety of diesel engines are being offered by most RV manufactures, such as Forest River, Winnebago, and others.The is a huge variety of sizes of Class C Motorhomes. Fifth-Wheels can be up to 40 feet, in most cases they have a ton of room compared to a travel trailer.
