RV Dent Removal & Body Repair
A dent on an RV is rarely just cosmetic. What’s behind it — aluminum, fiberglass, or structural framing — changes how it has to be repaired. We handle dents and body damage on every type of RV, from aluminum-sided trailers to fiberglass motorhomes, at our collision centers in Kent, Everett, and Mt. Vernon.</
RV Dents Aren't Like Car Dents
When a car gets dented, there’s usually steel behind it that can be worked back into shape. RVs are different. Aluminum siding creases instead of springing back. Fiberglass doesn’t dent — it cracks. And many RV walls have foam or wood behind them, so the usual dent-pulling methods don’t apply. What repairs a car fender often won’t work on an RV.
We have the tools and the experience to repair RV dents the right way: aluminum panel work, fiberglass repair, full panel replacement when it’s warranted, and color matching so the repair disappears.
What We Repair
- Sidewall dents — from collisions, backing accidents, or impacts
- Aluminum dents and creases — common on Airstreams and aluminum-sided trailers
- Fiberglass cracks — from impacts and debris
- Hail damage — even when it covers multiple panels
- Front and rear cap damage — from bumps, parking, and road debris
- Corner and edge damage — from tight clearances
- Slide-out damage — dents on the slide-out exteriors
- Trim and awning rail damage — including running lights and trim
- Lower panel damage — from road debris and bottoming out
How We Do It
The right repair depends on the panel and how bad the damage is:
- Identify what’s behind it. Aluminum, fiberglass, framing, or insulation — that determines the approach.
- Map the full extent. Hail and impact damage often spread past the obvious spot, so we check the whole area before estimating.
- Choose the right method. Small aluminum dents can sometimes be pulled. Larger creases or cracks may call for a new panel.
- Repair the structure. If the impact affected the framing, we address that before any cosmetic work.
- Finish it. Smoothed, primed, and painted in our clean booth.
- Match the color. So the repaired area blends with the surrounding finish.
Common Questions
Can a dent be pulled out without repainting?
Sometimes, for small aluminum dents in accessible spots. Most RV dents involve panels or finishes that get disturbed in the repair, so some refinishing is usually part of the job. We’ll tell you which applies to yours up front.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the panel, the size of the dent, and whether it needs paint. Bring your RV in and we’ll give you a written estimate at no charge.
Will insurance cover hail damage?
Typically yes, with comprehensive coverage. We work with all the major carriers and give your adjuster the documentation they need.
Can you replace a whole panel if the dent is too bad?
Yes. When a dent is beyond economical repair, we source and install a new panel. That’s often the best choice for deep creases or severe impacts.
How long does it take?
It depends on the extent of the damage and parts availability. We’ll give you a clear timeline when we provide your estimate.
Do you work on aluminum trailers like Airstreams?
Yes. Aluminum work takes different tools and techniques than fiberglass, and we have technicians experienced in both.
Which location should I go to?
Whichever is closest — all three handle collision and body repair.

We had the best experience purchasing our brand new RPod from Poulsbo RV Kent, the whole team was friendly and welcoming, from sales, and service all the way to management. We worked with Eric D, who was incredibly helpful and straightforward throughout the whole process. Not pushy, and genuinely wanted to see us leave with what we wanted/needed. If you’re looking for your next RV definitely go here and ask for Eric D!

Bought a new trailer here the beginning of 2025. My sales person I believe Mike was great and so was the finance guy. And in for service last year and this year, I thought the people did very good – the two gals at service desk. And this week, especially working with Anneka(sp?)Who seemed to be very knowledgeable and smiling toward the end of the day, even though she was zipping around the parking lot in the rain.
