RV Graphics & Decal Replacement

Nothing ages an RV faster than worn-out graphics. Faded stripes, cracked decals, peeling logos — even a well-kept RV looks tired when the graphics have gone. We replace and repair RV graphics at all three of our collision centers in Kent, Everett, and Mt. Vernon, so your RV looks the way it did the day you bought it.

Why Graphics Wear Out

RV decals aren’t built to last forever. They’re vinyl, and the sun, salt air, and years of weather gradually break them down. First the colors fade, then the vinyl turns brittle and starts lifting at the edges.

If you catch it early — while the decals are fading but still adhered — we can often replace just the affected sections. Once they start peeling, you’re usually looking at replacing the full set.

What We Do

  • Factory decal replacement — matching your RV’s original graphics when they’re available
  • Full graphics replacement — a complete redo of the entire set
  • Partial replacement — just the sections that have worn out
  • Stripe replacement — restoring faded or peeling stripes
  • Custom graphics — for older RVs where factory decals aren’t available, or for a fresh new look
  • Decal restoration — when a full replacement isn’t needed
  • Logos and badges — manufacturer logos and model badges
  • Slide-out graphics — aligned to match the rest of the body
  • Decal removal — clean removal before painting or reapplying

How We Do It

Good decal work takes care and patience. Here’s our process:

  1. Document the originals. We photograph and measure the existing graphics so we can match the design, colors, and placement.
  2. Source the decals. Factory replacements when available, custom-made when they’re not. For older RVs, we can recreate graphics from photos.
  3. Prep the surface. We remove the old decals, clean off all leftover adhesive, and prep the area. This is where most DIY jobs go wrong.
  4. Apply the new graphics. Lined up straight, smoothed out, with no bubbles.
  5. Seal the edges. So they hold up longer.
  6. Final check. We confirm everything is aligned and fully adhered before you pick it up.

Replace or Restore?

Restoration works when the decals are still intact and just looking dull. Once they’re faded, cracked, or lifting, replacement is the only real option.

A simple test: if you can slide a fingernail under the edge and it lifts, the adhesive is failing and it needs replacing. If it’s just dull but firmly stuck down, restoration may be enough.

Combining Graphics With Other Work

Graphics are usually the final step in a larger project. If you’re already having paint, fiberglass, or collision work done, it’s the ideal time to handle graphics too — you save on prep by doing it all in one visit. Our paint and body teams coordinate so everything finishes together.

Common Questions

Can you get factory decals for an older RV?

Sometimes. Many manufacturers keep decals in stock for years, but older or discontinued models often aren’t supported. For those, we make custom decals that match the original, usually using your old ones or factory photos as a guide.

How long do new decals last?

Good-quality vinyl holds up for years, though sun exposure and washing affect how long. Keeping your RV covered and using a UV protectant helps them last longer.

Can you remove old decals without damaging the paint?

Usually, yes, if the paint underneath is in good shape. We use heat and the right tools. If the paint under the old decals is less faded than the surrounding paint, you may see a faint outline — we’ll let you know if that’s likely.

How much does it cost?

It depends on whether you need a single stripe, a section, or a full set, and whether the design is factory or custom. Bring your RV in and we’ll give you a written estimate.

Will insurance cover it?

If the decals were damaged in a collision or covered event, yes. Normal sun-fading isn’t covered. We help with the claim for the portion that is.

Can you do a custom look that’s different from the original?

Yes. Many owners use this as a chance to give an older RV a fresh look. We can design and apply custom graphics however you’d like.

Which location should I go to?

Whichever is closest — all three handle graphics and decal work.
